PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLES AND PROOFS:

Production of samples of your designs is an art and is time consuming. Time must be taken to properly prepare the graphics, inks, and specialty production techniques. In many cases the pre-production time can be more than the time of the production run. While there is an initial billing for screens and pre-production sample time, many of these costs will be credited back on production runs. All pre-production costs are billed Net 10 days and are due and payable per those terms. Credits earned for samples made will be deducted from production runs as indicated below.

1. Graphics/Screens

.......b. Pre-Production Samples and Proofs are charged as follows:

................2. press time for setup/breakdown, washups and other labor at the rate of $75.00 per hour.
.......c. Creative art work (where our art department does the creating of logos and graphics) is charged out ................on a hourly basis. Rate is based on complexity of job

CREDITS FOR ABOVE COSTS

On production runs, customers will be CREDITED BACK for screen charges at the rate of 1 screen for each 100 dozen run to a maximum credit of the actual SCREEN charges for that job. On runs of over 1,000 dozen, art and labor costs for the designs may be credited back. On orders of less than 1,000 dozen pre-production labor is not creditable. In most instances, your pre-production and sample costs will be at no charge based on production runs.

CARE OF GOODS:

Sample items: Printing is done on automatic or manual machines depending on the art and special production techniques required. Each garment or piece is different and requires some testing. When supplying items for production or samples, please add some extras to cover the above requirements.

When ordering samples, it is more economical to make a few more than to come back to order a few extra. See above for estimates of time to re-set a press for additional items.

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SAMPLES:

Supervision: Our plant is conveniently located in the Bronx off major highways and transportation. Feel free to call to set up an appointment to supervise your pre-production samples. If our production schedule allows, you can be “hands on” in the process and make changes where you deem them necessary. In many cases we have seen some creative changes made in this stage of pre-production.


INSURANCE AND STORAGE:

We endeavor to protect your goods. We do not take title to same. Please make sure that you have the goods insured.

PRINTING:
While we use the most up to date equipment and inks, and well trained employees, there is always a chance for printing defects. We make every effort to minimize these defects, but we can not be responsible for damaged items.
