Prices…

Garment prices have skyrocketed over the past year.   With those increases have come the increases in energy costs and ink and material costs.

China and other third world countries have become “purchasing” countries and now use production for their own population.  This has created a shortage in the marketplace for cotton and poly/cotton fabrics which continues to drive up the costs on the competitive markets.

In this marketplace, the earlier you buy, the less your costs.   Manufacturers and mills can not see a slowdown on the increasing price trend, so buy early and save money in the long run.

Inks…

We have always used inks that are lead free and conform to present US standards.   During the past year, a new requirement has been initiated for the use of non phthalate inks for children’s clothing.  Though the use is not yet mandatory, we do have the inks available for customers who desire to use them.

Garment Safety…

Most of the major mills have eliminated pull strings or ties on sweats and sweat pants on youth garments.  This has been done to reduce the possibility of strangulation.   Adult sizes continue to have these ties.
